Resonate Your Light to Share Your Light
We can’t give what we don’t have. In order to share our light outside of ourselves, we first need to harness it inside.
How do we harness our light? How do we access the highest, most loving self available to us? By resonating with that frequency of loving consciousness. Based on the laws of resonance, dominant frequencies can overpower others of harmonic resonance, bringing them into union. This is what happens when a mother lovingly soothes a crying child; her frequency of love is so great that it overpowers the child's anxiety and brings him into resonance with her calmness. The child relaxes and surrenders into her frequency.
For me, this is what sadhana (a personal spiritual practice), is all about - relaxing all the parts of ourselves that are not in alignment with loving consciousness and inviting them into its soothing embrace. In order to experience this love, we need to go to its source - Source Consciousness, or what others would say Unity Consciousness, God, Goddess. Whatever you call it, it is the very fabric of our reality and the origin of all creation.
Sadhana is an opportunity to connect with source consciousness. Whether it's through ceremony, connecting with loving spirit guides, mantra, meditation, or yoga, any practice that immerses you in the vibration of loving consciousness can be (in my opinion) a sadhana practice. It is through this immersion that we exalt ourselves to our highest expression, purifying all vibrations that are not in alignment with love, and healing the unintegrated parts of ourselves looking for union into that One. As this imprint of loving consciousness on our psyche and electromagnetic field becomes stronger with sadhana repetition, the more available it becomes to us as an internal resource.
The more we experience love’s embrace internally, the greater our ability to project this frequency out into the world.
We can project our internal well of love outside of ourselves to permeate our world (and that of those around us) with the unique expression of love that we are. This is what it means to be a divine creator. This is what it means to be God incarnate. This is, I believe, what it means to be human - each soul a unique ray of light creating an ever evolving sensory experience of love in action.
In this week’s kundalini yoga class, we will be working on strengthening the 6th body, the arcline, which is responsible for connecting our internal self with our projected self. The arcline is connected to our 3rd eye, the seat of intuition that receives messages from universal consciousness and relays them into personal experience. This is where our inner truth means our outer truth. In order to project the truest expression of our light, therefore, a strong arcline is paramount.
You can use this kundalini yoga practice for strengthening the arcline. The purpose of kundalini yoga is to align our being with source life force, and uses coordinated breath, movement, and mantra as technologies to awaken this relationship.
SoundWork, the art of creating sound from a sacred container aligned with loving consciousness, is another great way to immerse yourself in loving frequencies. Experience SoundWork at an upcoming group Sound Bath, or schedule a private session for direct alignment with your personal life force. Summer special of $50 off valid until Sept 22nd.
The most important thing is noticing how you feel, and using your feelings to discern choices. Notice which practices support your alignment with love, and which do not. Notice what experiences bring a sense of wellbeing and safety into your body, and which do not. Commit to those loving choices, and notice how your light shines.
